I'd also be curious about how Savage owners have liked riding bikes with shaft drives. I have gotten the impression that most 'modern' cruisers should be more like a car in experience because they are being designed to run at low RPMs. I understand that the belt is the most efficient drive mechanism in terms of power efficiency but I'm curious if you can 'feel' the difference.
I once mentioned that it seemed impossible to just try a new bike out because the dealers don't get them ready to ride until after you buy it. I'd be curious about how you guys have gotten to try out other bikes.
Another question is: Is the natural progression from a Savage to a HD? What are the other bikes that fit the character of a Savage owner?
Haven't heard from a lot of people lately. Let's get the conversation going this weekend!
Have fun out there.
